We're open!
We are so happy to be able to show you all what we have been working on for the last couple of months. Missfittings is an idea we dreamed of in early 2014 and it is so incredible to have Missfittings come to life and be a reality.
In September 2014 we flew over to attend CIFF (China International Furniture Fair) and met with agents and their products from all over the world including Taiwan, Vietnam and the USA. We sourced, quality controlled and comfort tested each piece of furniture that is now featuring in the Missfittings showroom.
We arrived back into New Zealand from a whirlwind experience in China and Indonesia to then start work on our showroom in Marlborough. The renovations for Cravens Road was a massive task for us, we learnt so much! We never thought that we would be masters (in our eyes) in plastering, painting, sanding, gap filling, water blasting, floor sealing and gardening. These are obviously very technical terms of the trade… To go from what Cravens Road was to what it has become is not only a huge accomplishment, it also shows that we really can do anything we set our minds too, which is a really gratifying feeling. This is not to say we didn’t have extra help, we did, and they are amazing. So much so, we want to say a really massive thank you to Nic and Jock Clouston, to Daniel Souness, to Sarah Butterstein, Sam Clouston and Stu Dudley, you were all rock stars and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you.
We now have our showroom ready, for all of you to see and visit, it is jam packed with all of our beautiful Missfittings pieces inside. It really does look beautiful!
We would also like to thank everyone who has helped get Missfittings off to a head-start, we have had so much support, care, help and love from you all. So thank you so much Sam Kilpatrick, Brett Dudley, Michael Laney, Nic and Jock Clouston, Mark Corner, Joy Wang and the team at Oceanbridge, Holly Parsons, the team at PBT, Tusha Midgley and Bob Todhunter.
We can’t wait to see what the future brings for our Missfittings venture. We hope you all enjoy Missfittings and if you need anything please feel free to get in contact.
